SMART goals are a set of agreed upon achievements that your company desires to reach by certain periods of time, which will provide growth or insight to the company’s marketing efforts.
These goals must be: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely.
SMART goals can be used for many aspects of business, but are often used to define marketing efforts.
KPI’s or Key Performance Indexers are the units of measure used to determine whether the SMART goals have been effective or not. KPI’s give us ways to track the efforts and record the data necessary for the determination as to whether the SMART goals were appropriate for the company or not.
